Lara is about 27 km from Paphos and is one of the most beautiful and secluded beaches Island has to offer. It is a must see beach. To some it is known as Turtle beach as in height of august turtles hatch and if you lucky, you may be able to see the amazing hatching phenomenon of hundreds of tiny baby turtles get out of sand and head for the sea. Bay is all sand and gets rocky towards the both ends. It is very safe for kids and also is a good snorkeling spot around the rocky parts. There is no lifeguard or any other amenities. It gets busy only in the month of August. Road to it isn’t the best and 4x4 is advisable. Lara beach lays on the edge of Akamas peninsula. Along the coast you may find few more beach but with not easy access.
